STOP SMOKING

Why Smoke? There are usually three parts to a smoking habit. There is the bit that makes you want a cigarette in the first place (eg stress at work), then there are the beliefs and thoughts you have (eg a cigarette will make me feel better) and finally there is the physical addiction (from the nicotine). The first two bits are different for different people.
How To Stop? We help you break the first two parts of the habit (the reason you want one, and the emotional/psychological dependency) making it easier for you to break free of the thrid part (the nicotine.) Once we understand your reasons for wanting a cigarette and your beliefs about them, we usually start with a specialist form of acupressure (no needles) which stops or reduces the physical cravings. We then look at replacing your old pattern of smoking with healthier thoughts and behaviours (ways to relax, have confidence, distract yourself, reward yourself etc). We usually find two sessions are enough, which cost less than most people spend on cigarettes in a week. We also show you how to overcome your cravings at home/work, so that you don't need extra sessions.
